Paid my ticket - not!
Ooops - well, shit happens I suppose. I was at my travelagent today and intended to pay for my ticket and signed all the papers. But when I got home I realized that I don't have another credit on my card. Ooooops.
I'm somehow still not fully familiar with the credit part of the credit-card. The Visacard I had so far didn't really have an credit. If I used it the money was immediatedly deducted from my account. But on my Citibank Visacard I suddenly do have credit. 1.000 Euros. What I hadn't realized is that with the credit I can afford less then without the credit. With the Citibank-CC I can only buy thing up to a maximum price of 1.000 Euros. No matter how much money I have on my account. Whereas I could spend as much money as I wanted with my other card. Now, if someone could explain to me, why my old card is just a regular card and my Citibank-card is gold? I mean, what's so golden about only being able to spend 1.000 Euros? I then called Citibank and we worked out something. What I can do is transfer money to my Visacard, so that I don't use a credit at all but simply use what's on the CC. Unfortuantely it takes three to four working days for the money to be transferred. So I send an email to Lotus-Travel and told them that I was very sorry and that I would come by on monday with my other Visacard. Boy, this is confusing! In case you are wondering why I'm paying with CC and not with EC-Card: My travelagent expalined to me that if you pay for a ticket with Visa you normally get some form of travel-insurance with it. That certainly can't hurt.
