As you probably know I took a bunch of photos from back home with me. Pictures of my friends and family, Germany, the Octoberfest etc.. You know, things to warm my own heart but also things to show when travelling foreign countries. Recently however the reactions to the photos I'm in have changed.

I'm not in a lot of photos I took with me. After all, I am here. But the photos I do have of me are all rather recent. In the beginning this did not result in any special reaction beyond the question: "You?". But recently I have gotten a lot of "You FAT!", normally accompanied by a pumping up of cheeks.

Even Col. Billaut, who had taken me to the minefields said that I've probably lost ten kilogramms. Considering that I have gone down four notches in my belt since I came here that's probably true. The trouble is, I only seem to loose weight at my ass and in my face - but not on my stomach. Grrrrr.
