A productive day and some embarrassment

I had a really productive day today! Did loads of good and useful things. But first I gotta share a real embarrassment with you. Particularly since it wasn't me who was the most embarrassed :-).

In the six-bed room I stayed in until this morning there were two other guys: Jim from England and "whats-his-name" from Ireland. And that's the thing: He's told me his name twice and I just can't remember it. So when I met the girl whom he had spent the night with this evening in the kitchen (they were very quite, which I certainly appreciated - I doubt though they could have been louder then Jims snoring, even if they had screamed out their lust), I asked her: "Say, this is a bit embarressing since I've shared the room with him for two nights now, but what's the Irish guys name?" At which point she blushed, pouted, looked down at the floor and the burst out: "I had meant to ask you!" Ooops. I think the next thing I said was: "Gosh, this really is good beer, ain't it?"

So that was the juicy part. The rest of my day was pretty unspectacular but productive.

I changed rooms in the morning, not so much because of Jims snoring (though I swear I could feel the vibrations of his snoring in my bed) but because the room didn't have a window and therfor really smelled. Then I made an appointment with a GP to get my stiches removed tomorrow, got my working holiday visa printed out and glued into my passport by the Department of Immigration and even got me a tax-number! I also joined the RAC, that is the auto-club here, who'll hopefully fix my car if it ever breaks down. And I looked ar a car out that looks pretty good. Unfortunately there is someone else in line for that car, so I'll find out tomorrow whether I can buy it or not. I'll write more tomorrow.
