Feeble attempts at snorkeling and more "sleeping disorders"

I went snorkeling today! Yes, Timo dared to jump into the middle of the Ocean - and I absolutely hated it. I think I'll stick to boats or land from now on.

Water has never really appealed to me. I just don't feel comfortable in it. Some people do, I don't, which is why some of my friends fear I'm about to commit suicide if I say that I'm about to go swimming. However I thought that maybe, just maybe I'd like snorkeling. So I went on a two-hour glass-boat tour that included a snorkeling trip along the Ningaloo Reef. For 31.50 AUD it was certainly good value, but I discovered the wet way that staying on the boat was for me, jumping into the ocean was not. I don't know why but I was drinking water by the bucket! And it didn't even come in through the snorkel. It came into my mouth from around the mouthpiece and I very much felt like drowning. Admittedly the few seconds I could see fish through my goggles were nice (those were big fish) but all in all I spent more time fighting for my life then enjoying the maritime wildlife. I even changed my googles and snorkle after which it was slightly better but I was still breathing more water then air and therefor made my way back to boat - panting and coughing like crazy but glad to be back. Well, at least I tried it.

Separate sleeping arrangements

After the snorkeling we went to Exmouth, a small town on the very corner of the northern and the southern coast of Australia. Unfortunately we had another "discussing" regarding sleeping arrangements when we got there. I said that I was not gonna sleep in the car for another night, they didn't want to pay for a hostel. So I said, fine, I'll stay in the hostel, you can have the car. Somehow that made me the "bad guy" again, but I was too tired after last night to care. Part of the reason why they were pissed off was that I decided to stay at the hostel accross the road from their campsite and not at the hostel at their campsite. But hey, their place was more expensive and simply didn't look nice. And what's the big deal anyhow? So you have to cross the street. So what? I mean, I even leave them my car! Women...

Oh mann... versau Dir doch den trip nicht. Lass die Beiden Schnecken doch da und such dir weniger anstrengende Begleitung. Denk mal drübe rnahc. Ich würd mir das nicht länger antun.

Man...don't let them spoil your trip. Leave the two birds and find yourself some less demanding company.
Think about it. I wouldn't put up with it any longer.
