's all good...

Things are looking good: The sun has been shining for the last two days (finally), the Scottish girls from Tom Price are going to travel with me to Kununarra and I even have managed to sell a story to a German news-site!

The weather being what it was, I finally took the time to sit down and write my feature about landmines in Cambodia. And I managed to sell it at once! tagesschau.de, one of Germanys most respected websites bought it and already put it online. The also used my photos so all I have to do now is wait for the money to arrive. It's not gonna be much, but it'll be something. And to quote the late Douglas Adams: "I don't like to write, but I love to have written." Ah - it feels good to see something you did published again. Food for the ego.

I'm also looking forward to leaving Broome. I suppose the place is alright if you love being on the beach, but if you don't or if the weather is crap, then there is not much you can do except for going to the movies or sitting on the internet (30 AUD/10h). Oh - the battery of the car died a few days ago (another 115 AUD) but now the car is running fine again.

I've also been poking around, trying to find out whether I can do a TEFL course anywhere in Australia. With that certificate I could teach English all over the world - certianly not a bad thing to have - especially if you like travelling. Unfortunately though it seems like all the schools that offer TEFL-courses are on the eastcoast and will be on winter-break when I get there.
