Well, it turned out that the garage wasn't able to patch the car together so that we could get at least to Townsville. Apparently the water-pump is about to fall apart (now, that explains that funny sound I've been hearing since Broome) and they recommended strongly against going any further.

Unfortuantely they don't have a waterpump here in Cloncurry, so they had to order it from Townsville. It should (no, it will) be here on monday, so we should be on our way again around noon. But until then we are stuck in Cloncurry. Well, there are far worse places we could have broken down and so we are trying to make the best of the situation. Later today we'll visit a local rugby game and tomorrow we'll probably take a look at the towns two exhibitions. And since the weather is dry (even though very, very windy) there is nothing wrong with sitting outside on the camp site and readinga book or two.
