Baldwin Street in Dunedin

The Kiwis insist that Baldwin Street is the steepest street in the world, with a gradient of 1 meter in 2.86 meters. Other claim that it is only the second steepest street and say that the one in San Francisco is actually the steeper street since Baldwin Street reaches that maximum gradient for only six meters out of it's total length. Whether it's the steepest or the second-steepest in the world, let me tell you - it's pretty steep if you go up there!
