A look on the Gran Plaza in Tikal. On the right you can see parts of Temple One, On the left is Temple Two. There used to be a temple on the far side of the Plaza as well - where you see the low structures - but it had to be dismanteled because it was unstable. The middle of the square was a place for sacrifices and ball-games. Archaeologists disagree whether the winner or the looser of the game was sacrificed to the gods.
