Hugs and Kisses and Good-Byes

I can hardly believe that I only have one day left! On monday it's time to fly home! So it's starting to be time to say good-bye. But I won't say good-bye quietly and sad! I'm trying to say "cu soon" with laughter, hugs and kisses!

Actually, a lot of people are leaving at the moment. The night before yesterday for example was the last night of Elena and Joanna, the two Canadians who had been in Antigua for the last two weeks. I really liked Elena but somehow couldn't make any sense of the vibes I was getting from her. Eventually I gave up and left - I was really tired as well. Apparently that was a mistake since after I had left she told someone on the table that she would have been very interested indeed. Then why didn't she make that clear,
dammit??? Women!

A job well done

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I completed the feature I wrote about Camino Seguro for tagesschau.de and I finished the website for Cafe No Se. John is very happy with the design and simply loves the site.

Hugs and Kisses at Café No Sé

At night I was at No Se again, where we held the first of my two farewell-parties. Mickey and Leigh went to Monterrico today and thus can't be there on Sunday night, so we just decided to celebrate twice. It was a very, very good night. We stayed until 3 am in the Tequilla Bar (at which time John kicked us out) Mickeys boyfriend Javier was playing guitar and the whole bar was singing along as good as we could. John tried to shush us into singing quietly because he is strictly speaking not allowed to be open that long and because of the neighbours, but of course that didn't work. And got hugs and kisses - oh so many hugs and kisses! There were three girls in the bar I could instantly have fallen in love with and on one of them I've had a mad crush for quite some time. It's all good.

Actually one of the things I think I'm gonna miss most is hugs! I don't know why, but back home I simply don't get as many hugs as here! In Antigua I've probably gotten a German years worth of hugs every weeks. And they have some great huggers here! I'm addicted!!! I'll definitely have to do something about this, when I get back!

Timo, we miss you!! Your website is hilarious. I'm sorry I missed your call at No Se, but a Merry Christmas (or happy New Year) to you too. No Se isn't the same without you. The same routine goes on--people come, people go--but we'll remember you fondly. Not enough hugs in Germany--!que lastima!--here's one for you.

Timo ~ sorry to hear you didn't sense my vibes...

Short stays in foreign countries with people who intrigue me send me into a state of mixed emotion. Though, in response, I have very happy memories of our brief encounter, I know that I have met a very dear friend and I hope that someday soon we will meet again.

Happy New Year hugs and kisses from a very snowy Canada, elena ;)
